When we began our search for a place in which to entrust our children's care, we were looking for a setting that wasn't just a "daycare". We wanted them to learn and thrive without stifling their fun and curiosity. We had heard great things about Adelante so we looked into it; speaking with the teachers and observing their activities. We were so impressed by their facility and philosophy that our son began attending promptly thereafter.
Our son attended Adelante Learning Center for just about 2 years. The amount of knowledge and confidence he gained during his time there is astounding. He started kindergarten last fall just days after turning 5, and he was immediately moved to the advanced kinder/1st grade level. He could speak Spanish, read and write his numbers 200+, knew all the states and their capitals, knew all about the planets, he could do kinder level math and reading and so much more (all by the age of 4). Because of this great experience, our 3 year old daughter now attends Adelante too!
My daughter has been here for less than one year and has improved her knowledge and interpersonal skills tremendously. She can count in English and Spanish, has rudimentary reading skills and participates in group activities as an active member. We are amazed in her new abilities, knowledge and skills and we owe it all to Adelante. She started at age 3 and has consistently outperformed other children at the same developmental age. We feel she is so loved and very well cared for here. She looks forward to going to school every day since she is very happy at Adelante. We are indeed blessed she attends Adelante!
My daughter has been going to Adelante Learning Center for a year and a half. When she started there she did not know how to write let alone hold a pencil. Within a month of being at the school, she was able to write her name and numbers. Since then she is able to count to 100 unassisted, she can recognize all her letters capital and lowercase as well as the letter sounds. Not to mention she knows more Spanish than I do. My daughter used to hate going to daycare before I got her into Adelante, now she asks to go to school, she asks to do homework. The teachers here are amazing and educated in what the children need to know before entering kindergarten. As a teacher myself, seeing what these children are capable of doing after attending Adelante, as a parent I am thankful for the teachers here who are preparing my daughter for school. My daughter has learned so much not only about academics but also social skills. This is not a daycare but an actual school that is preparing children for what is expected of them when they enter elementary school.
