Barbara Bencomo has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Educational Management from New Mexico State University. She is retired from Las Cruces Public Schools after 31 years. Twenty two of those years were spent as an elementary school principal. She served on the LCCS school board for two years and various other state and national organizations.
Diana Rodriguez has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction. Diana is endorsed in Early Childhood Education, Bilingual Education and Education Leadership. Through her 30 year service as a classroom teacher Diana has been a recipient of the Outstanding Hispanic Senior Award by the NMSU College of Education and named Bilingual Teacher of the Year by Las Cruces Public Schools. She also served as a grade level team leader, member of the school leadership team, Coordinator of the NASA-SEMMA program, member of the school SAC & PAC Committees, Reading Assessments team member, and Bilingual Lead Teacher.
Sandra Provencio is the founder and Director of Desert Hills After School and Summer Camp Programs. She graduated from New Mexico State University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and is NAC certified and a member of the New Mexico Child Care and Education Association. Sandra started the after school program at Desert Hills Elementary in 1999 and has worked with children for 20 years. The program has grown where it now offers a summer camp with a focus on keeping children physically and intellectually active. Sandra is the President of the Desert Hills After School Program Board of Directors.
